Visitation for Mrs. Abraham

Ann (nee Chatwood) Abraham

Passed away on: 15/05/2010

1929-2010 - Entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 15th. Predeceased by her husband, Canon Charles Abraham in 2001 and her sister Philippa in 1941. Left to celebrate her life, son, Richard, and daughter Philippa Warren (Scott), brothers Albert and Andrew, grandchildren Hilary, Peter and Harry and many special nieces, nephews and friends. Ann was the Kindergarten teacher from 1949 to 1963 at Bishop Feild College in St. John's and a longtime volunteer at Cowan Heights Elementary School, where she was affectionately known as "Grandmother." She was also a Girl Guide leader, IODE member and very active at St. Luke's Home. Ann lived her life with purpose and conviction, and will be dearly missed by all she touched. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Tuesday, May 18th from 10 a.m.-12 noon, 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of her life will take place at the Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist on Wednesday, May 19th at 11 a.m. Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations in her memory, may be made to the Community Food Sharing Association or the Autism Society.
